Morocco Eclipse Data and Editorial Methodology

Morocco Eclipse uses one canonical data file for 74 locations so contact times, duration, obscuration and structured data can be updated consistently across the website.

Published and computed durations

The supplied dataset distinguishes published durations from computed estimates. Published durations take priority when supplied. Each place result identifies which type it uses.

The original research reports about 10 seconds of uncertainty in contact times and no lunar-limb correction. Treat contact times as approximate. Near a path limit, exact viewing coordinates require specialist verification.

Time-zone policy

Morocco returned to GMT (UTC+0) on 20 September 2026. Spain, including Ceuta and Melilla, uses CEST (UTC+2) in August 2027. Always include the time zone in travel instructions and reconfirm it before departure.

The time-zone sources were checked on 18 October 2026. The 74-location astronomy dataset is inherited from the August research and has not been independently recalculated for this edition. Published durations and computed contact times can differ by several seconds; do not subtract them and expect exact agreement.

Editorial and correction policy

Weather guidance separates climatology from a forecast. Travel details are sourced and dated, and uncertain future arrangements remain explicitly unconfirmed.

Material corrections are recorded on the corrections page rather than silently overwritten. We do not fabricate prices, availability, reviews or clear-sky guarantees.
